Plainview, TX (Hale Co.) –

Work will consist of Addition and Renovations to Thunderbird Elementary School and College Hill Elementary School totaling 187,559 sf for Plainview ISD. Project will include the following work at two schools:

Thunderbird Elementary School; 3300 Lexington St, Plainview, TX 79072 – Project consists of a new 90,950 sf elementary school designed for 800 students. The school will have 6 core academic areas (Pre-K through 4th grade) with each area having instructional classrooms along with a swing lab. Each two grades will have a teacher’s suite, Dispersed Library / Maker Space, community restrooms and auxiliary spaces. Special program areas shall consist of a daycare center, Music, pull out (intervention) spaces, Sensory, Special Education and OT/PT room. The school also includes core areas consisting of administrative office suite, multi-purpose cafeteria / assembly area serving both the kitchen and platform, and a gymnasium which also serves as the school’s tornado storm shelter.

College Hill Elementary School; 800 Ennis, Plainview, TX 79072 – Project consists of a new 96,609 sf elementary school (74,800 sf downstairs, 21,800 sf upstairs) designed for 800 students. The school will have 6 core academic areas (Pre-K through 4th grade) with each area having instructional classrooms along with a swing lab. Each two grades will have a teacher’s suite, Dispersed Library / Maker Space, community restrooms and auxiliary spaces. Special program areas shall consist of a daycare center, Music, pull out (intervention) spaces, Sensory, Special Education and OT/PT room.
